Hansen Bros. is western Nevada County's largest producer of rock, sand and gravel products. We currently operate two plants and an in-town retail yard. Our Greenhorn plant produces a wide variety of washed, screened and crushed river rock including, decorative landscape rock, masonry sand and various aggregate products. Our Bear River plant produces crushed and screened quarry materials including, crushed road rock, rip-rap and building stone. Our in-town (La Barr Meadows Rd.) retail yard carries products from both plants plus several products imported from other local producers. Most of our products are consumed by our local construction industry. However, some of our specialty products are sold and shipped throughout northern California and Nevada.
