Position: Construction Foreman

Summary: Manages, schedules and coordinates construction crew, overseeing field staff. Must have excellent communication skills with employees, customers and inspectors. Prefer someone with heavy equipment operation experience and background in earth work, underground pipeline and paving on private and public works projects. Needs to be familiar with Cal Trans and utility specifications and be able to read and lay out from plans.
Responsibilities: Supervise a crew of 2-10 members including, laborers, drivers, equipment operators in all phases on earth work and pipeline projects. Maintain daily time sheets, production rates, schedule, order material and enforce safety regulations and practices.
Education Requirements: N/A. Good communication skills and management training helpful. A minimum of five years of field experience is required. Must posses valid California Driver's License.

Hours: Full and part time positions available. Must be available for work seven days a week with a typical work week being either four or five days.

Summary: This position involves both customer service and equipment maintenance and service. The preferred candidate will be familiar with the specifications and operations of the wide variety of equipment rented at a general rental store catering to homeowners and contractors and will be capable of learning to use an industry standard computer system.
Responsibilities: Responsible for the efficient operation of the rental yard. Incumbent performs varied tasks in the scope of his/hers duties including: interacting in a friendly and professional manner with colleagues and customers, inside sales and customer service, computer data entry and query, equipment maintenance and service, equipment delivery and pickup, building and yard maintenance, truck dispatch and various administrative functions. Must be able to safely lift at least 125 lbs.
Education Requirements: N/A. While there are no specific educational requirements for this position, good communication skills (both written and oral) are a requirement. Candidate must be able to communicate clearly and intelligently with the public and other staff members. Fluency in a second language and knowledge of general construction practices and basic principles of small engine mechanics is beneficial. Candidate must posses a valid California Driver's License.
